Most pest problems in the East Valley don't start inside your house. They start at the block wall, the landscape rock, the irrigation line — and work their way in. Our recurring pest control service is built around that simple fact: treat the perimeter on a schedule, and the inside takes care of itself.

Recurring residential service starts with a $129–$179 Initial Defense Service. That's a full interior and exterior knockdown — baseboards, garage, entry points, eaves, block walls and the yard. We hit everything once, hard, to reset your home to zero. From there, scheduled perimeter treatments keep the barrier up year-round.

Standard coverage includes ants, roaches, spiders, crickets, earwigs, silverfish and centipedes. Got scorpions? That's our Scorpion protection plan — monthly visits with scorpion-specific treatment. And on every plan, if pests show up between visits, we come back free.

How Our Pest Control Service Works

Visit one is the reset. Your tech treats inside and out — cracks, baseboards, entry points, garage, eaves and the full exterior perimeter. The Initial Defense Service is $129 for small homes, $149 for standard homes, and $179 for large homes.

After that, we keep you on a schedule. Basic runs every 60 days at $59–$79/mo (billed monthly). Monthly pest protection runs $99–$119/month. Scorpion protection runs $99–$119/month and adds block-wall treatment — it's the plan we recommend most for a reason. Mosquito reduction is quoted as a seasonal add-on. No mystery pricing.

Perimeter Pest Control: Your First Line of Defense

Perimeter pest control means treating the band around your home where bugs actually live — the foundation line, block walls, weep holes, landscape rock and expansion joints. Done right, most pests die outside before you ever see them.

On every visit we apply a liquid barrier around the foundation, treat the base of block walls, spread granules in landscape beds and sweep webs off eaves and patios. Desert pests like crickets and earwigs harbor in irrigated beds and under rock; granules reach them where sprays can't.

Arizona heat breaks products down faster than almost anywhere in the country, which is why the schedule matters more than the spray. A perimeter that gets refreshed on time stays sealed. One that doesn't, doesn't.

Residential Pest Control for Real Arizona Homes

Every East Valley neighborhood has the same cast of characters: odorous house ants trailing the kitchen, American roaches coming up from drains in summer, wolf spiders and crickets in the garage, earwigs and silverfish in the bathrooms. We treat all of them as part of standard residential service.

We're also honest about what isn't standard. Scorpions need different products, different timing and block wall work — that's why they're covered on Scorpion rather than the base plan. Termites and rodents are their own services, and we'll tell you straight when you're dealing with one.

Same-Day Help for Urgent Pest Problems

A wasp nest over the door, a scorpion in a sleeping area, or a rodent in the kitchen deserves a faster response than routine maintenance. Call before 1pm and we can usually work an urgent visit into the same day's East Valley or Pinal County route, subject to technician availability.

We triage the problem on the phone, explain what to avoid until we arrive, and give you a real service window. Urgent visits use the same published Initial Defense Service range when that scope fits; there is no panic premium.

Yard, Turf, and Landscape Pest Pressure

Grubs, sod webworms, aphids, whiteflies, crickets, and ants build pressure outside before many of them reach the house. We inspect turf damage, irrigated beds, ornamentals, and the foundation edge as one connected system instead of treating the yard and home as unrelated problems.

Targeted yard work can be added when evidence supports it. The goal is identification and timing: treating the pest's active stage and source, not applying a generic lawn spray to every brown patch.

Attic, Insulation, and Rodent-Damage Questions

Attic work is inspection-led. Rodent contamination, damaged or thin insulation, open roofline access, and insect activity each require a different scope, so we inspect the space and write the work before recommending removal, sanitation, exclusion, or insulation improvements.

Borate-treated insulation can add an insect-resistant attic layer and improve R-value, but it does not replace whole-home pest control and it does not solve active rodents or scorpions. Those problems must be removed and excluded first.

Questions, answered

How much does pest control cost in Arizona?

Residential plans run $49–$69/month for quarterly service, $59–$79/month for Basic service every 60 days, and $99–$119/month for monthly protection. Every plan is billed monthly and includes free re-service between visits. The Initial Defense Service is $129–$179 for standard home sizes.

How often should pest control be done in Arizona?

Every 60 days at minimum, year-round. Arizona has no hard freeze, so pest pressure never fully stops — it just shifts with the seasons. If you have scorpions, go monthly for scorpion-heavy homes: their activity peaks through the warm months and long gaps are too long to hold the line.

What's included in the $129–$179 Initial Defense Service?

A full interior and exterior treatment: baseboards, kitchens and baths, garage, entry points, eaves, the foundation perimeter, block walls and granules in the landscape. It's a one-time reset so your recurring perimeter service starts with a clean slate.

Do I need to be home for service?

Only for the initial visit, since we treat the interior. After that, recurring visits focus on the exterior perimeter, so we can service while you're at work. If something ever needs interior attention, we'll schedule a time that works.

Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?

We use products registered for residential use and apply them according to the label — that's both the law and the safety standard. Keep kids and pets off treated areas until dry, usually under an hour in Arizona. Tell your tech about pets and we'll plan the application around them.

Can NEARPEST help with an urgent pest problem today?

Usually, when you call before 1pm and the route allows it. We prioritize stinging insects at entries, scorpions in sleeping areas, and rodents in living spaces, then give you the earliest honest window available.

Do you treat lawn pests or inspect pest-damaged attics?

Yes, when the evidence calls for specialty work. Yard treatments and attic or insulation work are inspected and scoped rather than sold as separate one-size-fits-all plans.
