Bed bugs are the pest people are most embarrassed to call about. Don't be. They hitchhike in on luggage, used furniture, and shared walls — they have nothing to do with how clean your home is. The only thing that matters now is killing every last one, fast.
Sprays alone usually can't do that. Bed bug eggs shrug off most chemicals, so spray-based programs need two or three rounds spaced weeks apart — and you keep getting bitten in between. Heat is different. We bring the treated rooms up past lethal temperature and hold them there, so the heat soaks into mattress seams, box springs, baseboards, and furniture joints where sprays never reach.
One treatment day. Adults, nymphs, and eggs — all of it. NEARPEST is licensed by the Arizona Office of Pest Management, and we back every heat job with a follow-up inspection to confirm the infestation is actually gone.
What we do
One-day knockdown
We heat the treatment area to bed-bug-lethal temperatures and hold it there for hours. No waiting weeks between chemical rounds.
Eggs die too
Eggs are the reason spray jobs fail. Sustained heat kills every life stage in one pass, so there's no second wave two weeks later.
Simple prep checklist
We give you a short, plain-English prep list before treatment day — what to remove, what to leave, what to bag. No guesswork.
Follow-up inspection
We come back and verify zero activity. If anything survived, we handle it. You're done when the bed bugs are done.
Why heat beats repeat chemical cycles
Bed bugs die when their environment stays above roughly 120 degrees Fahrenheit for a sustained period. Our equipment pushes treated rooms well past that and circulates the air so the heat penetrates everywhere bed bugs hide: deep in mattress tufts, inside the box spring frame, behind headboards, under carpet edges, and inside electrical outlet voids.
Chemical-only programs can work, but they fight biology the whole way. Eggs hatch on their own schedule, bed bugs increasingly resist common insecticides, and every missed harborage restarts the clock. That's why spray programs come in cycles — and why you're still finding bites a month in.
Heat skips all of that. It doesn't care about resistance, it doesn't miss eggs, and it doesn't need you to live out of plastic bags for six weeks. For most East Valley infestations, it's the fastest honest path back to a normal bedroom.
What treatment day looks like
Before we arrive, you work through our prep checklist: pull anything heat-sensitive like candles, aerosols, medications, and houseplants, and leave the infested items in place — the bed bugs need to be home when the heat arrives.
On treatment day we stage heaters and fans, bring the space up to lethal temperature, and monitor with sensors placed in the coldest, deepest hiding spots. We hold the temperature until those sensors — not just the air — confirm a kill. Most homes are back to normal that evening.
Afterward we schedule a follow-up inspection to confirm there's no remaining activity. If you're seeing bites in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, or anywhere in the East Valley, call (480) 555-0199 and we'll get you scheduled.

Questions, answered
Will heat damage my furniture or electronics?
Most furniture and electronics handle treatment temperatures fine — they're built to survive a parked car in an Arizona summer. We have you remove genuinely heat-sensitive items like aerosols, candles, medications, and instruments before we start.
Do I have to throw out my mattress?
Almost never. That's one of the big advantages of heat — it treats the mattress instead of replacing it. Tossing infested furniture usually just spreads bed bugs down the hallway on the way out.
How do I know the bed bugs are really gone?
We place temperature sensors in the hardest-to-heat spots and hold lethal temps until they all confirm. Then we do a follow-up inspection. If we find any activity, we treat it.
Can bed bugs come back after heat treatment?
Heat kills everything in the home that day, but it isn't a force field — a new introduction from travel or a visitor can restart things. We'll show you the early signs to watch for so a hitchhiker never becomes an infestation again.
